Imperial Guardsmen- Jon D.
Jons army started out with his army in a standard imperial guard strategy pocket so the different units could cover the others and bring their shear numbers into play.
Robbie however decided to hide behind walls where jon would have to send in his units one at a time to deal with them. Jon had already anticipated rob doing this and had made sure that while his elites probed for a weak while point the regulars could keep them busy.
Turn 1- Robbie took the first turn as he had a higher initiatives. His first move was firing his rocket launcher into the front wave of guardsmen. His forces in the tall building took out another 3 men from Jon’s frontal unit.
Jon decided that the rocket wielding marine had to go! The imperial guard basilisk completely obliterated the marine and another man next to him. Then Jon’s heavy weapons commence firing into the tallest building were one lone squad of space marines was camping out, killing 2 of the 5. Then Jon smirking ended the turn by deep striking ten kaskrins behind robbies lines.
Turn 2-Robbie’s men in the tall building continued to whittle down Jon’s guardsmen. Robbie figured that now would be the best time to attack Jon’s forces so he brought his dreadnought out of hiding but it failed to hurt any one. However Robbie did manage to kill Jon’s lascannon team and two men of his secondary command squad this round.
Jon couldn’t have rolled the dice this round to save his life. He rolled eight 1’s on the dice and none of his heavy weapons did any damage.
Turn 3-
Robbie put his sniper back to work and blasted Jon’s heavy bolter. The dreadnought continues to not hit anything while his 5 man assault team assaults Jon’s kaskrin squad that deep striked in the first turn.
Jon had no luck this round either on his anti tank weaponry rolls. His Armageddon pattern sentinel fails for the second time to wound Robbie’s dreadnought. However his heavy bolters and auto cannon killed 3 of Robbie’s space marines. Which took Robbie down to two buildings under his control.
Turn 4-
Robbie’s assault marines killed two of Jon’s Kaskrins. Robbie also finishes off the last of Jon’s heavy weapons.One of Jon’s command squads which was loaded with tank killing weapons finally pays off and kills Robbie’s dreadnought after it took down his sentinel.
Turn 5-
In the last turn Jon killed Robbie’s terminators without any casualties. After this Robbie decided to concede to Jon’s victory.
